Signing in lets us ask YouTube for the playlists on your account, including private ones, so we can show you a list to choose from. We store only the identifier of the playlist you select. For each video you ask us to summarise we read its title, thumbnail and duration.

We request read-only access (youtube.readonly), the narrowest scope that allows this. We cannot change anything in your account.
